Do you want your customers to know what you are all about? A professionally produced video is a great way to let them know. It offers you a chance to show your operation in its best light. So make the most of it. If you are going to lay it out there for the world to see, make sure you get it right. Here are a few ideas how to prepare your facility for video production.
Before a video crew shows up, a basic first step is to clean your plant… or your office area. Clean up any clutter, and remove papers from desks. For most wide shots, less is more… so be ready to move things to an out of the way area for the shoot day.
For outside areas, try to have the landscaping look as good as possible. Again, remove any trash or clutter.
Take test pictures of your selected areas, and then examine them. Seeing things though the lens of camera is a little different than the naked eye. How is the lighting in your facility? How clean or cluttered does it look? Pass these shots along to your production crew. Include exterior photos too, taking note of when the photo was taken, and the direction in which the sun moves.
For interviews or testimonials, consider the use of a makeup artist to present your team at its best.
Take notes about the electricity available in the areas you will be recording. Make sure all available circuits are working. The less time the crew spends searching for electricity, the more they can spend on capturing video.
Consider buying shirts to make associates look like a team. Not only does it look better on camera, but your employees might appreciate the gift.
Schedule taping to make best use of manpower. We can help you work up a schedule to make sure you have the right people available for each scene.

On location or in our studio, we provide product and equipment still life photography. We work with advertising and PR agencies, graphic designers and web developers, and directly with the product manufacturer. Our images are used in catalogs, brochures, sell sheets, product announcements, web pages, and annual reports.
We are firm believers that natural, happy smiles are the most flattering and that people look their best when they are genuinely comfortable and having a good time! To that end, we take a friendly, laid back approach to our photo sessions, frequently encouraging clients to even dance to their favorite playlists to loosen up during our shoots. In addition to having a great time and feeling really comfortable, we also make sure that our clients are happy with the images we’ve taken during the shoot before we part ways. In other words, it is our goal to provide our clients with unique, beautiful photos in a fun and relaxed environment!
If you need solid, descriptive table top product photos or an image of a room-sized piece of hardware on location, please call us to discuss.
The perceived value of your products and your trustworthiness is often based on how well your product is visually portrayed. In today’s competitive world having visually compelling photography is a major aspect of having an effective printed catalog or website. Showcasing your products with amazing photography can make the difference between a conversion or no sale at all. Given this fact, it’s essential that your photography be stylish, fresh, and create a positive impression on your customers.
ARCHITECTURAL EXTERIOR PHOTOGRAPHY
As an architectural photographer I draw on a wide array of skills to produce memorable images that convey a sense of place, an expression of the architect’s ideas, and a connection to landscape and its surroundings. The ideal time to capture a building is just before sunset or sunrise, when the building is bathed in the suns majestic glow.
FOOD & BEVERAGE PHOTOGRAPHY
Let’s face it, everyone loves food. We work closely with the chef and a food stylist to create stunning imagery for some of St Louis’ leading names in food. Fresh, original and with a captivating focal point that entices and engages — Bon appétit!
Capturing authentic looking lifestyle shots is an art form of its own. It serves an important role in business to personalize your brand, connect with customers, and enhance your business materials. We blend location, lighting and hand selected talent to create natural, relaxed real-life environments that creates a human connection and provides context to your brand.
An important part of a company’s image are professional headshots of the senior executives and key team members. By including these, you’re putting a personal touch on your brand by letting your customers know that the company is made up of real people who genuinely care about their clients.
Natural and genuine, authentic look, suitable for skill-based professionals.
Favorite among architects, authors, designers, dentists, and technology companies.
No need to put “experienced” or “accomplished” on your LinkedIn bio if the picture says it.
It’s more about you and your professional role, rather than your company!
Ideal for LinkedIn profile and professional bio. Looking for a new job secretly?
For your company’s marketing, branding, PR and other content creation:

Corporate Group Photo
Group shots vary widely: bullet points to think through for success.
Group shots are often requested along with executive portraits and other corporate photography. While group shots are useful to show the teamwork you value, for the team-building purpose for execs that are scattered over multiple offices, and for historical documentation purposes, it is, however, harder to achieve useful and effective results without careful planning. Below are common challenges and issues that you want to think about at the level of your company’s internal discussion.

You don’t have to be a web designer or even computer savvy for this help topic, just upload your pictures into any photo editing software, and get to work with some creative cropping techniques. Moreover, the use of props can help to bring out certain sales features in your photo. Taking a shot is often just the beginning, next comes the editing and the touch ups. Choose 1-3 different sizes from large to medium and small. Edit your photos to fit one of the pre-selected sizes so that you won’t have too much variation. As you prepare images for your site, make sure they are approximately the same size. If you are selling a particular product, take a shot of the actual product with a recognizable everyday item. For example, if you take a picture of a computer screen, show it next to a coffee mug or pen. Take pictures of your product next to an item that will help people relate to it in real life. Things like cropping and color correction can make a world of difference in a photo.
If you’d like to take a picture of something very small, and even the “macro” feature is not enough, use an image extension tube – it gives a focus for the smallest of details. The extension tube is typically a tool used by photography pros but as you advance with your photo shoots you may find yourself developing an appetite for advanced tools and other photo instruments. If you are selling wearable’s, having at least one picture of your product on a model is the way to go. Potential buyers will get an idea of how the item will look on them and also, it could show the type of target audience you’re aiming for.
This video clip contains some of our recent images shot in the studio and on location. Pay close attention to the cropping and close ups of our macros at work as we described.

Here is a recent assignment from out of town to show various car door handles on the latest models out of Detroit. Multiple doors were sent to our studio where they were shot and color corrected for use in various corporate marketing brochures and the annual report.
Production Design: The set of your dreams begins empty – production design is crucial. If the images will be shot in a studio, the set may have to be built and all the props added. If the images will be captured on location, props still may need to be brought in, or at the very least, the location will have to be tidied up a bit. All images shot on this video were taken over the course of a day with stills and video.
